3 rhythmic gymnasts promote Chicago Cup on CBS 2 morning news

![]() Shape, Kozitskiy and Kaye are interviewed by Roseanne Tellez © cbs2chicago.com CHICAGO, Ill., June 18, 2009 – Three U.S. rhythmic gymnasts appeared on Chicago’s “CBS 2 News at 6 a.m.” to promote the 2009 Chicago Cup, which starts tomorrow at the Broadway Armory. The Chicago Cup is a three-day, international rhythmic gymnastics competition that features both all-around and individual event finals for both junior and senior divisions. North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center’s Marlee Shape of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Kristin Kaye of Northbrook, Ill., and Philadelphia Rhythmic Academy’s Polina Kozitskiy of Fountainville, Pa., spoke about rhythmic gymnastics, as well as gave a brief demonstration of the ribbon, ball and clubs. Individual session tickets for the Chicago Cup are $15 for June 19-20 and $20 for June 21. An all-session ticket, which provides access to all Chicago Cup sessions, is available for $45. Tickets are available at the door. Visa is the preferred method of payment.

The U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior Olympic Championships, which showcases the country’s best Level 7-9 gymnasts, and the Level 10 Invitational are being held in conjunction with the Chicago Cup. The Junior Olympic Championships span six days, with competition at the Broadway Armory and Trinity International University.
